Priority Issue: Water Quality and Quantity

Goal: To build capacity of water resource development and management within the 20 county SOIC region by fostering cooperation, generating ideas and affecting policy directions through dialogue and studies.

  • Identify stakeholders in southwest Okl'ahoma.
  • Establish classification directory for water stakeholders in region.
  • Identify and highlight exemplary water usage.
  • Communicate results and findings of Oklahoma Water Resource Institute to SOIC region through the SOIC newsletter and website.
  • Communicate legislative actions and issues to SOIC region through the SOIC newsletter and website.
  • Facilitate town hall meetings throughout the region to identify needs, stakeholders and to disseminate information.
